I get a lot of questions about sales/marketing coaching and how it can help you grow your business. I thought I’d spend a few minutes today sharing some thoughts I have about this. First, why work with a coach? What can a coach do for you? A coach can help you reach your business goals more quickly and more easily- so you can become profitable more quickly or MORE profitable MORE quickly. Working with a coach provides structure, support, and accountability- it’s always amazing how you suddenly "find time" to work on your business when you’re paying someone to hold you accountable. Owning and running a business is not an innate skill- there are always actions you can take to be more successful. You can coach yourself by immersing yourself in learning from the experts. If you choose this route, be sure to focus particularly on sales and marketing, as your skills in these areas will be the greatest contributors to your business success. We’ll talk some in other entries about what to look for in a coach, how to know if coaching is helping, and other general ideas about this topic.
