Tip #8: Find places to present on your topic. Speaking to any group, no matter how small, can help establish you as an expert. This can lead to greater referrals and connections to a wider audience. You don’t need to be the best speaker that ever lived, but do be engaging, interesting, and articulate. Practice your presentation so you can deliver it without resorting too heavily to notes or reading aloud. Use stories or personal narratives to make the presentation "stick." Encourage audience participation. Speak as often as possible, and collect contact information (email address & name) for people who attend. Ask them if they would like to receive your newsletter (see previous tip). In this way, you build your reputation and have a way to follow up afterwards.
