Business policies are important to define the nature and scope of your professional practice. Having strong business policies makes running your business easier- for you- and clearer for your clients. If you have well defined policies, it’s natural that, sometimes, customers will ask for special consideration or to have you make an exception. This can be fine, done only occasioanally. If it starts to happen more and more frequently, remember: Don’t make special accomodations just off the cuff. Try not to be seduced by the size of the sale, and stick to any pre-determined business policies. The customer you continually "bend the rules for" is always the one you need to guard against.
