Ok, I don’t think it’s just me- the pace of life has started to quicken, right? It seems like the final two weeks of the year are filled with extra activity and this continuing sense of too much to do, too little time. Eesh. Here are some thoughts on remaining productive (and sane) during this next few weeks: 1) Prioritize. Do the most important things first. Break them down into small pieces, but get them done. 2) Multi-task. Find ways to blend multiple activities into a single block of time. Not a great strategy every time, but one that can help you right now. 3) Plan in some time to relax and recharge. 2006 is just around the corner, and you want to be fresh and ready to jump into the year with both feet. 4) Remember to pay all your bills and all tax expenses before the end of this year. (I believe estimated 4th quarter tax payments need to be postmarked by tomorrow (Dec 15), so be sure to pay yours if they are due..) 5) Give yourself the first few days of 2006 to ease back into working. Schedule all meetings for January 9th or after. 6)Give yourself some appreciation for all you accomplished this year. Even though we always feel like we can be doing more, it’s great to take a look back and see what we accomplished. 7) Finally, enjoy! Be happy, healthy, and joyful as you wind down 2005.
