A common complaint I hear from my clients and other new(er) entrepreneurs is that there’s “no time to market”. With all the demands of owning and growing a small business, it makes sense that sometimes, marketing and selling might get pushed aside. However, not for too long, hopefully, as marketing and selling are the mainstays of your business. All the rest is extra.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed by your marketing efforts, consider the idea of leverage- where you aim to use everything you create in your business in more than one way. For example: An article you write for your newsletter can become a free handout at your next presentation; the article can be submitted to online article banks; the content can be cut up and moved around for a tip sheet, or added to an ebook or ebooklet for sale. You can offer the article as a free giveway to entice people to sign up for your newsletter, and you can publish it to your website in order to provide more content for your web visitors.
A key to succeeding, more easily: Become very skilled at leveraging all you create.
