For Entrepreneurs Seeking Rapid Business Growth
Extensive Harvard Business Study Uncovers Three Keys to Rapid Business Growth
These Key Strategies Can Double Your Business In The Next 12 Months
The most confusing aspect of building an online business today is the sheer number of choices you have about how to do it. Do you build a service business? An information product business? An e-commerce business? Or a combination of all of these?
Do you start with a niche? Or do you start by selling something people want? How do you make yourself stand out from the crowd, so you can be successful?
How important is social media? Do you need to tweet all day to see results?
And what if you have no mailing list, does that matter? Or what if you have a mailing list but nobody responds to you, should you keep building it?
When is the right time to hire a team? How do you know you can afford them?
If you have questions like these about growing your online business, then you’ll want to read what I’m going to share next, because this information can make the difference between a successful business and one that completely fails.
82% of Small Businesses Fail
What compounds the stress of business building is the fact that 82% of small businesses fail within the first five years, as reported by the National Business Administration.
This means that of every 10 businesses that come online, no more than 2 will definitely survive to reach their fifth year. This is an extremely high failure rate.
There are three key strategies which separate the successful businesses from those that aren’t. These keys can be the difference between a business that closes its doors by year five, and one that doesn’t.
The research shows that two-thirds of entrepreneurs start their businesses because of the freedom and autonomy it provides. The majority of entrepreneurs want to be their own boss.
Money generation and income potential is only a deciding factor for 8% of entrepreneurs.
This is one reason that small businesses fail; profitability takes a backseat to lifestyle.
When a business is run based on lifestyle instead of profits, several things happen:
- Money is always a challenge. You don’t know if you will generate enough cash to meet your expenses.
- You need cash right now, so you can’t afford to set aside resources to grow.
- You have a business that feels out of control, and you’re worried.
You spend hours each day staying busy, but not really sure you’re accomplishing anything.
You cringe when you see how much you’ve spent to grow your business and it’s so much less than you earned.
You try to follow all the advice you read online, but it’s confusing, and you’re not sure if you’re implementing correctly.
You hire expert after expert to help you grow your business, but each month, still, you send out more money than you bring in.
The Three Keys That Can Change All That
The three keys of building a profitable and great company are these:
- Better before cheaper- which means that you need to build a better product or service and avoid competing on price
- Revenue before cost- which means you focus on increasing revenue before reducing cost
And the third key? That there are no other keys except #1 and #2.
Businesses which differentiate solely on price are in a death-match to annihilation. This applies if you use price as your main differentiator between you and your competitors. Whether you charge less or you charge more, it doesn’t matter.
Businesses which do not focus on increasing revenue can not grow. You can only cut your expenses so far before there is nothing left to cut.
Do you want to just get by? Or do you want to build something truly great?
Imagine, instead, that you had a business which was steadily growing.
Each day, you opened your email to find people asking about your products and services.
You had a simple and effective sales process to turn these inquiries into clients.
You felt confident in your website, and in your email marketing.
Your audience was steadily growing on social media.
You could plan for your business growth.
You felt excited about the future.
This is possible.
Let me tell you how.
Who I Am
I’ve also helped hundreds of clients begin- and grow- their online businesses. I’ve worked with solo business owners, as well as some of the most well-known authors, speakers, and consultants in the world – people you definitely know by name.
Clients work with me because of my knowledge, experience, and practical, “get it done” approach to business building.
While they often complain about how much homework they have to do between our consulting calls, they are very happy when they see gains in their business revenue, online audience, and expert positioning within their market.
We’re talking gains of 200-400% per year.
If you are starting a new business, we will work on your business strategy and foundation. We’ll make sure your marketing is working and design a plan to get your first clients or sales.
If your business has been running online for some time, we’ll identify your highest revenue producing initiatives so we can design and implement campaigns to help you make more money from the clients you already have, as well as create campaigns to help you attract new clients as well.
As you might have surmised, my approach is an equal blend of strategy and implementation. I can help you first dream of what is possible, and then I can help you create a step-by-step plan to attain it.
This means significant value for you, because usually you’d have to work with at least two different people to get both big picture strategy and a plan for actual implementation. When we work together, you get both in the same place.
Here is what some of my clients have said about working with me:
How can I help you?
Let’s chat and find out.
I offer customized consulting programs which can also include done-for-you marketing services.
I’m not the least expensive business coach- not by far- but the results you get from working with me are more than 10x what you’ll invest.
I only work with clients whom I believe I can significantly help.
And, if you’re the right client for me, I’m glad to work with you to create a consulting structure that works for us both.
The areas we might work in include: narrowing your niche, building (or improving) your website, expanding your online reach and visibility, growing your mailing list- and, of course, increasing your business revenue.
The Next Step
I’d love to help you create results in your business.
The next step is to apply for a consultation. We’ll meet for a no-pressure, no obligation consultation to go over your biggest business challenges, and to explore how I can help you solve them. At the end of this call, I’ll summarize the next action steps- and invite you to work with me to achieve your goals.
Even if we don’t decide to work together now, you’ll find that call will be very valuable for helping to clarify what you need to do next to grow your online business.
So if that sounds good, the next step is to apply for a consultation:
